The gambling instinct

The Pandavas had it(gambling instinct). They had put even their wife at stake and lost her.We too have it in one form or the other. For example selling every thing in the ancestral village and searching a fortune abroad is also a sort of gamble.I personally feel that nobody ever wins through lottery or gamble.Even if a person wins he is a loser as he and his future generations would keep on wasting their money in the pursuit of wining again till they lose what they had won and even more.I was a student of primary school.Once I bought a ticket of instant lottery for 10 Paisae from a grocery kiosk.I won Rs.1.After that I kept on buying the tickets that afternoon till I lost all the money and also the 10 Paisae that I had originally.I learnt a lesson. There are lottery addicts in Punjab.I don't know the scene in the west where they have casinos as well.Gurbani says'Sakat baaji haari jeeo'(A selfwilled Manmukh loses his life in a gamble.
